Thrust Ball Bearing has two washers, one is shaft washer and the other one is housing washer. The bore of shaft washer is of the shaft size, and bore of housing washer is slightly larger than shaft washer to facilitate the free rotation of the shaft.

These Bearings can accept only Thrust loads in single direction.They are not suitable for high speed applications.

Double direction Thrust Bearing has two housing washers, one shaft washer and two rolling element assemblies.

These type can accept only Thrust Loads in both directions.
